Hard Rock Maple is easy on knives and resists nicks and gouges, preventing bacteria from penetrating the wood. The PCA2 block features a 10-inch thick, end grain construction top. The surface length and width measurements are 18 by 24-inch and the cutting surface features a Boos block cream finish with beeswax. A wood knife holder is attached for convenient knife storage. Four matching pencil legs are included. After simple assembly, the PCA2 block stands 34-inch tall. John Boos recommends oiling butcher's block tops every three to four weeks to maintain and protect the wood from drying or cracking.
